VNC console does not work in SolusIO: white blank page is shown

Symptoms

  1. VNC console does not work in SolusIO > Virtual Servers > Open VNC Windows - white blank page is shown.

  2. On the same page in browser console (F12) the following error is shown

    SVM_ERROR: failed start was proxy TLS server "7778" "/etc/solus/cert.crt" "/etc/solus/priv.key": listen tcp :7778 bind: address already in use"

Cause

Stuck web proxy process is running on the affected Compute Resource.

Resolution

  1. Access the affected SolusIO Compute Resource over SSH.

  2. Restart SolusIO agent to stop web proxy process:

    # service solus-agent restart
