HTML5 serial console of SolusVM VPS does not work in WHMCS: Connecting...Connection close: ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Symptoms 

• Getting the error while accessing HTML5 serial console from WHMCS:

  CONFIG_TEXT: Connecting...Connection close

• HTML5 serial console works fine in SolusVM UI
• The following error can be found in DevTool of a browser (F12) when accessing the HTML5 console from WHMCS:

  CONFIG_TEXT: failed: Error in connection establishment: net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

Cause

Incorrect SolusVM master hostname is specified in WHMCS.

Resolution

1. Login to WHMCS admin panel
2. Browse to WHMCS > Product/service > servers and clickEdit SolusVM master server
   
   
3. Set correct SolusVM master's hostname in the Hostname field:
   
   
   
4. Click Save Changes in the bottom of the page.
