Unable to create/manage SolusVM VPS via WHMCS: Cannot connect to destination node

Symptoms

  • Unable to create/manage SolusVM VPS via WHMCS - the following is found in WHMCS > System Logs > Module Logs:

    CONFIG_TEXT: status => errornmsg => Cannot connect to destination node

  • The PHP version on slave node where VPS should have been created is different from below:

    # php -v
    PHP 7.3.26 (cli) (built: Jan 22 2021 01:20:53) ( NTS )
    Copyright (c) 1997-2018 The PHP Group
    Zend Engine v3.3.26, Copyright (c) 1998-2018 Zend Technologies
    with the ionCube PHP Loader + ionCube24 v10.3.9, Copyright (c) 2002-2019, by ionCube Ltd.

Cause

Incorrect PHP version on SolusVM slave node.

Resolution

  1. Access the affected SolusVM slave node over SSH.

  2. Update the node to the latetst version:

    # upcp 2

  3. Install PHP hanlder provided by SolusVM:

    # /bin/bash /usr/local/solusvm/tmp/update/php_updater.sh
