SolusIO unavailable: failed to allocate network IP for task XXX: could not find an available IP

Symptoms

• SolusIO unavailable. The following error is displayed in a browser:

  CONFIG_TEXT: CONNECTION REFUSED

• The following error is generated in the log /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages:

  CONFIG_TEXT: time="2021-09-29T02:29:08.328693676Z" level=error msg="task allocation failure" error="failed to allocate network IP for task stt53aou9rzzier6cqaf3u6gn network 3ywtvzdlp17a3audqnoux9d7h: could not find an available IP" module=node node.id=yydc4uw5ewscfpcgtsxo8gs86

Cause

SolusIO management node hostname change at SolusIO > Settings > General causes solus stack redeploy loop on Management node.

This is known bug with ID SIO-3665 which was fixed in SolusIO version 1.1.20853

Resolution

Update SolusIO to the latest mainline version.
