How to add a custom OS image to SolusVM 2?

Answer

For existing OS:
  1. Login into SolusVM 2 Administrator interface.

  2. Open Images > Operating System > Add version and fill up:

    Name - the necessary name for the image.
    URL - link to OS image, for example, https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/openstack/current-10/debian-10-openstack-amd64.qcow2
    Cloud-init version - set it depending on the required Cloud-init version for the specific image.

  3. Click Save.

For new OS type:
  1. Login into SolusVM 2 Administrator interface.

  2. Open Images > Operating System > Add Operating system and fill up:

    Name - the necessary name for OS.
    Icon - select icon to display for OS.
    Visible - toggle option to make the OS visible for clients.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Open Images > Operating System > Add version and fill up:

    Name - the necessary name for the image.
    URL - link to OS image, for example, https://download.cloudlinux.com/cloudlinux/images/cloudlinux-7.5-x86_64-openstack-20180801.qcow2
    Cloud-init version - set it depending on the required Cloud-init version for the specific image.

  5. Click Save.
