Status is Unknown for newly created SolusVM 2 VPS despite the fact that VPS is actually running and accessible

Symptoms

Status is Unknown for newly created SolusVM 2 VPS in SolusVM 2 > Virtual Servers despite the fact that VPS is actually running and accessible.

Cause

Malfunction of solus-agent service on Compute Resource where the affected VPS was created.

Resolution

1. Access the Compute Resource via SSH

2. Restart the solus-agent service with the below command:

   # systemctl restart solus-agent
