Is it possible SolusVM 2 based CR to use DHCP for creating VMs?

Answer

No. VMs will not take IP via DHCP. By design SolusVM 2 utilizes static addresses.

NOTE: Imported CR from SolusVM 1 will keep using DHCP for the VM network. When you set up a SolusVM 2 CR directly, it will not utilize DHCP. It uses Cloud-init. SolusVM 2 assigns a static network to the VMs through the Cloud-init feature.
