Is it possible to set the default NIC Card type for KVM VPS via API, plan, or template in SolusVM?

Answer

There is no way to set the default NIC Card type for KVM VPS API, plan, or template. There is a corresponding feature request on SolusVM UserVoice portal that can be promoted to our development by vote.

However there is a possibility to set a default KVM NIC type globally:

  1. Access SolusVM
  2. Browse to Dashboard > Configuration > Settings > Virtualization page
  3. Set default NIC type
