NoVNC console is not working: Failed to connect to server (code: 1006)

Symptoms

• NoVNC console is not working:

  SVM_INFO: Failed to connect to server (code:1006)

   

• Connection to the Slave server on VNC port is refused
  

  # telnet 203.0.113.2 5901
  Trying 203.0.113.2...
  telnet: connect to address 203.0.113.2: Connection refused

• CSF firewall software is installed on the node

Cause

CSF firewall blocks connection on VNC reserved ports

Resolution

Note: CSF firewall compatibility was not tested with SolusVM

Add VNC ports to the list of allowed ones. Refer CSF documentation on how to do that

Or disable CSF completely.
