AutoFTP backup fails in SolusVM: UPLOAD FAILED: Cannot open local file for reading: No such file or directory

Symptoms 

• AutoFTP backup fails in SolusVM. The following error can be found in the log at SolusVM > Nodes > Node > Auto FTP Backup:

  CONFIG_TEXT: Cannot open local file /backup_tmp/2025-kvm-kvm138-1.bz for reading: No such file or directory

• Attempt to get directory listing when connected directly to FTP server fails:

  CONFIG_TEXT: Command: PASV
  Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (**,**,**,**,118,88)
  Command: MLSD
  Error: The data connection could not be established: ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out

Cause

Passive ports are blocked by firewall on FTP server

Resolution

Contact FTP server adiministrator for opening FTP passive ports
