Symptoms 

This backup node is not accessible:

CONFIG_TEXT: The compute resource 'CR1' can't use this backup node: Client error: `POST https://203.0.113.2:8080/backup-nodes/check` resulted in a `400 Bad Request` response: Backup node is not accessible: cannot run rsync: command "rsync --version" failed: Process exited with status 127

Cause

rsync is not installed on backup node.

Resolution

  1. Connect to Backup node via SSH
  2. Install rsync:

    For RHEL-based OSes:

    # yum install rsync

    For Debian-based OSes:

    # apt install rsync
