AutoFTP Backup fails to start in SolusVM: Connecting to failed

Symptoms 

• AutoFTP Backup fails to start on the Slave Node - one of the following messages is shown in SolusVM > Nodes > the affected node > AutoFTP Backup > Log:
  

  CONFIG_TEXT: Connecting to  failed

  CONFIG_TEXT: No virtual servers found

  CONFIG_TEXT: no output from php /usr/local/solusvm/includes/autoftpbackup.php --mode=all --debug=1

  

• The directory /usr/local/solusvm/compile/ and the file /usr/local/solusvm/includes/solusvm.conf exist on the Slave Node.

Cause

Incorrect SolusVM installation - Master Node is also installed on the affected server.

Resolution

Reinstall the server anew as per documentation. In case it is not possible, follow the steps:

1. Connect to the affected node via SSH.
2. Move out the directory /usr/local/solusvm/compile/:
   

   # mv /usr/local/solusvm/compile/ /root/
