Cause

There is a KVM limitation for the IDE devices - it is limited to a maximum of four virtualized (emulated) IDE devices per guest virtual machine: the main disk, CD-Rom, and two additional disks.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the SolusVM admin panel.
  2. Enable the Virtio Driver instead of IDE in SolusVM > Virtual Servers > VPS > Settings > General > Disk Driver > Virtio:

Note: for Windows VPSs make sure the Virtio Driver is installed inside the VPS.
