Symptoms 

  • Fail to create SolusIO VPS via WHMCS provisioning module:

    SVM_ERROR: Failed to place new order, something went wrong

  • In WHMCS module log at WHMCS > Settings(wrench icon in the top right corner of the panel) > System Logs > Module Logs the following error is generated for failed request:

    CONFIG_TEXT: {"message":"The given data was invalid.","errors":{"fqdns.0":["Invalid domain"]}} 

Cause

Non-FQDN Hostname is specified for the VPS in WHMCS.

Resolution

  1. Log in to WHMCS admin panel
  2. Browse to WHMCS > Clients > View/Search Clients and click List All Products/Services

  3. Click on the corresponding Product/Service
    ______.JPG
  4. Set the FQDN domain name(e.g. example.com) in the Hostname field and click Save Changes:
