Failed to create SolusIO VPS via WHMCS: The selected limit group id does not exists

Symptoms

  • Failed to create SolusIO VPS via WHMCS 8 provisioning module:

    SVM_ERROR: Order Accept Encountered Problems
    Failed to place new order, something went wrong

  • In WHMCS module log at WHMCS > Settings (the wrench icon in the top right corner of the panel) > System Logs > Module Logs the following error is generated for failed request:

    CONFIG_TEXT: {"message":"The given data was invalid.","errors":{"limit_group_id":["The selected limit group id does not exists."]}}

Cause

There is no Limit Group configured in SolusIO > Access > Limit Groups:

Resolution

  1. Log in to the WHMCS admin panel.
  2. Navigate to Product/Services > edit_product > Module Settings.
  3. Set Default Limit Group as None:
