Cloud user quotas in SolusVM 2 [Feature request]
[Feature request]
I would like to ask when SolusVM 2 will support proper cloud-style user accounts with resource-based limits.
The idea is to create a separate user under a SolusVM 2 account and assign predefined resource quotas to that user, such as:
- Maximum number of VPS instances (or unlimited instances)
- Total vCPU cores
- Total RAM
- Total SSD storage
Within these allocated limits, the user should be able to freely create and manage their own virtual machine pool, including selecting plan, VPC, location, OS, etc…
This should not be confused with simply granting VPS creation permissions. The key requirement is a resource pool model where the user operates independently within assigned capacity limits.
This type of quota-based cloud user model is a core element of modern cloud infrastructure platforms, and most competing VM infrastructure solutions already support similar functionality. This is one of the foundations of cloud computing today.
I am aware that some WHMCS plugins attempt to handle this externally, but it would be far more reliable and standard if SolusVM supported it natively.
Is this feature on the roadmap? If so, is there any estimated timeline?
