SolusVM is a powerful GUI based VPS management system with full OpenVZ, Linux KVM, Xen Paravirtualization and Xen HVM support. SolusVM allows you and your clients to manage a VPS cluster with security & ease.
SolusVM cluster is operating in the following manner: one management server (that is called Master node) and any amount of managed servers (they are called Slave nodes) that are used for running VPS.
SolusVM Master node
Master node is used for managing whole SolusVM cluster: the creation of VPS, their management and so on. SolusVM cluster must have one and only one Master node.
SolusVM Master node supports OpenVZ virtualization (with the appropriate license).
SolusVM provides two types of Master licenses:
|Master Node License Types
|Slave Only License
|Allows adding Slave nodes to the Master node.
|Allows adding Slave nodes to the Master node plus allows running an unlimited number of OpenVZ VPS on the Master node.
SolusVM Slave node
Slave node is the server used for creating and running virtual servers. The number of slaves depends on the number of add-on licenses acquired. 1 add-on - 1 Slave node.
SolusVM Slave node supports the following virtualizations: OpenVZ, KVM, Xen PV, Xen HVM
SolusVM provides three types of slave add-on license:
|Slave Node Add-on License Types
|Allows running maximum of 2 VPS on the slave node
|Allows running maximum of 5 VPS on the slave node
|Allows running an unlimited amount of VPS on the slave node
Question: Is it possible to host Xen or KVM VPS on my SolusVM Master with a Master License?
Answer: No, it is not possible to host either Xen PV, Xen HVM or KVM VPS on SolusVM Master regardless of which type of master license is installed.
Question: I am planning to have three servers for the creation of an unlimited number of KVM, Xen, and OpenVZ. What license and how many add-ons I need to purchase?
Answer: For this structure, two possible choices exist.
It is possible to host all OpenVZ VPS on the Master node, in this case:
One Enterprise license for Master node - 10.00$.
Two Slave license add-ons for Slave KVM and Xen nodes - 2x10.00$.
In case the Master node will be used only for managing the SolusVM cluster:
One Slave only license for Master node - 2.00$.
Three Slave license add-ons for Slave OpenVZ, KVM, Xen nodes - 3x10.00$.
Question: I am planning to have two servers for creation of an unlimited number of KVM VPS and one server for creation of up to 5 Xen VPS. What license and how many add-ons I need to purchase?
Answer: For this, the following should be purchased:
One Slave only license for Master node - 2.50$.
Two Slave license add-ons for Slave KVM nodes - 2x10.00$.
One Mini-slave add-on for Slave Xen nodes - 5.00$.
Question: Is it possible to order a trial license to test SolusVM?
Answer: Yes, it is possible to order a trial license on our website or directly in the online store. The license is free and allows the creation of OpenVZ VPS on Master node (the equivalent of Master Enterprise license) and addition of up to 5 slaves with an unlimited number of VPS. The trial period for the license is 30 days - after that, it will be suspended.
Question: Is it possible to upgrade a trial license to Enterprise or Slave only license?
Answer: No, it is not possible. It is required to purchase the necessary license on our website or in our online store.
Question: What payment methods are supported for purchasing/paying for a license?
Answer: It is possible to purchase or pay for a license using a PayPal account or debit/credit card.
Question: Is it possible to install SolusVM on VPS? Are there any limitations in licenses for installation on VPS or dedicated server?
Answer: Yes, it is possible to install SolusVM on a VPS, however, it is required to verify from the provider of VPS if it supports the necessary virtualization. There are no differences in licenses for VPS or dedicated servers.
