Symptoms

SolusVM OpenVZ VPS does not start - the following is seen in SolusVM > Virtual Servers > VPS > Reboot (Debug)

CONFIG_TEXT: Can't make dir .old-root: No space left on device

Cause

Insufficient disk size of VPS.

Resolution

Increase the size of the VPS disk:

  1. Log in to the SolusVM admin interface.

  2. Open SolusVM > Virtual Servers > VPS > Resources

  3. Increase the value of HDD Space - for 3-5 GB and click on Upgrade\Downgrade with these settings.

  4. Start VPS via SolusVM > Virtual Servers > VPS > Boot.
